Breckland Guided Rides
IT IS WITH GREAT REGRET THAT WE HAVE DECIDED TO CEASE TRADING FOR THE FORESEEABLE TIME AND THEREFORE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT BOOKINGS FOR HORSE RIDING.
Stonehouse Farm is a small family livestock farm hidden in the eastern corner of Thetford Forest, Norfolk.
For some of our routine stock work we use American Quarter Horses. We now offer competent riders the opportunity to ride with us using our horses.

As such we are able to offer a unique riding experience for a few hours, for a short break or to enhance a holiday in Breckland.
We can offer a real escape from modern life.

Our stock graze well over a thousand acres of local farm, forest and heathland and we are surrounded by a further 2,000 acres of forest, so we have access to unlimited riding on sandy tracks and farmland as we check stock or simply ride for pleasure.

Routine stock work may involve riding to and through herds and flocks, treating individuals as necessary, moving them to fresh grazing or working them through handling systems.
You can leave the modern world behind, relax and have fun as you ride through the beautiful forests, heaths and meadows of Breckland.

Riding our American Quarter Horses and their cross-breds Western style, would be an ideal pre-cursor to a ranch holiday in Canada or the USA.

We would like to emphasise that you will be visiting a working farm and from time to time we may need to change arrangements in order for us to deal with livestock.
